How Jesus Saved Me

I grew up in a family dedicated to attending church every Sunday. I thought I was a Christian but in college I realized my faith was my parents' and not my own. That all changed my senior year of college. I volunteered to be the entertainment at a junior high youth retreat. I was saved in the prayer room of that retreat. Up until that moment, I always felt like I was missing something in my life. In that room, I met Jesus in a very profound and wonderful way. I opened up the Bible and God spoke into my life through 1 John 4:7-21. For the first time, I understood the unconditional love God has for me. I truly realized the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for me, a lowly sinner. It was in that moment that I dedicated my life to Jesus and I have not looked back.

What I Do For Trinity

I have a passion for helping students love & follow Jesus! As Youth Director, I want the youth I serve to truly experience what the unconditional love of Jesus looks and feels like. By the grace of God, I want my students to experience daily how a relationship with Jesus Christ will completely change their lives. Through youth group, Wednesday night Bible studies and Sunday school, my goal is for students to experience Christian community built on the infallible Scriptures, prayer and worship. By partnering with parents & volunteers, our main purpose is for students to own their faith and become disciples of Christ, ready to build the kingdom of God wherever they are.

What I Do Outside Trinity

I love to spend time with my family first and foremost. I have a fun-loving wife, Wendy, and our kids are Kolby & Addison. We love to travel but most of the time you will find me either watching sports or playing video games in my free time (I think I currently have five video game systems). My favorite sport to watch is definitely baseball. GO CUBS GO!

Random Fact

In college, I performed a one-man comedy show based on random facts.
