How Jesus Saved Me
I came to know Christ at a young age. When my family was attending Dungeness Community Church in Sequim, WA. This is where I attended children’s church up until I was in second grade. I was baptized at this church when I was in second grade. My family moved to Ankeny, IA, where I continued my faith journey. Growing up I attended children’s church and youth group. After high school, I joined the Iowa Air National Guard. I spent twelve years in the Iowa Air National Guard as a firefighter. During this time, I was deployed overseas to Iraq and Qatar. This is when I developed my personal relationship with God. During my deployment to Qatar, I felt God calling me to ministry. After fulfilling my contract with the Iowa Air National Guard, I began pursuing my degree in Christian Studies with an emphasis in youth ministry at Grand Canyon University.
What I Do For Trinity
I am extremely blessed to have the opportunity to interact with the youth at Trinity. I lead the junior and senior high students. I help guide and educate these students in their faith journey. We get the opportunity to hang out, have fun, and hear God’s word together. This allows us to grow in community and in purpose.
What I Do Outside Trinity
When I am not at Trinity, you will find me spending time with my family. My wife Shannen and I have four children (Kinley, Henry, Kyle, and Joseph). We enjoy going to the park and spending time together outside. We love watching movies together. I enjoy the outdoors and going fishing.
