TWIST (Trinity Women)

           TWIST (Trinity Women in Service Together) is a women’s ministry which welcomes all women of Trinity Reformed Church.  It is our purpose to be of service to our church and community, as well as to provide opportunities for Bible study and prayer.  Any women of Trinity who are not actively involved in TWIST are invited to become active members by joining a Bible study, joining a prayer group, or helping in any of our service projects. 

                Below is a list of the current TWIST Bible study groups, prayer groups, & activities:

 

·         Blessing Bible Study – meets on alternating Wednesday mornings from 6:30 to 8:00 a.m.

·         Faith Bible Study – meets in member homes, usually on the 4th Thursday of the month at 9 a.m.

·         Grace Bible Study – meets at church room 206 on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.

·         Harmony Bible Study – meets in member homes, usually on the 4th Thursday of the month at 9 a.m.

·         Hope Bible Study – meets at Pella Manor East Social Room, usually on the 4th Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m.

·         Love Bible Study – meets in member homes, usually on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.

·         Mary and Martha Bible Study – meets at church room 133, usually on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.

·         Special Needs Bible Study – group for mothers with special needs children – meets at church room 206 every other Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

·         The Apprentice Bible Study – meets at church room 206 on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m.

·         Fit For Life Bible Study – meets at church room 251 every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

·         Prayer and Share Women’s group – meets at church room 206 every Saturday morning from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. for prayer and the opportunity to share

·         Mom’s Prayer Group – meets at church room 206 during Discovery Time to pray for our children

·         Prayer Chain Group – called when there is a prayer request in the church

·         Annual Christmas Dinner – usually the first Monday night in December (includes program)

·         Annual Ladies’ Activity – possibly a retreat, luncheon, speaker, inspirational meeting, etc.

 

            Below is a list of service projects done by women of Trinity Reformed Church:

 

·         Blessing Boxes – sends care packages to college students

·         Angel Foods Ministry – prepares and delivers meals for people in need

·         COC Birthday Cakes – bakes and delivers cakes to Christian Opportunity Center residents

·         End of the Month Meals – prepares a free evening meal for families with needs and serves the meal from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the last Monday of each month in the Connection Center at church

·         Sewing Bee – makes quilts for missions the last Tuesday of each month in the Fellowship Hall

·         Sends cards and letters to our missionaries; visits and writes to our shut-ins

·         Prepares and serves funeral luncheons

·         Prepares and serves meals at Tulip Time

·         Collects various items for missions – greeting cards, Christian books & magazines, devotionals, etc.

 

            All Trinity women are encouraged to get involved in the TWIST ministry.  There are many opportunities for you to serve and to be blessed.  For more information about how you can become involved, contact TWIST’s 2012 coordinator, Nancy Westerkamp, through the church office (628-2714).
